Abstract
Objective To study the therapeutic effects of hemoperfusion on the patients with digoxin intoxication. Methods 6 patients with severe digoxin intoxication were admitted to the emergency department and given hemoperfusion. The changes of toxic symptoms and signs were observed and the digoxin concentrations in blood were measured by fluorescence polarization immunoassay before and after hemoperfusion. Results Symptoms and signs of severe digoxin intoxication were eliminated and the digoxin concentrations in plasma decreased significantly after one or two hemoperfusions. Conclusion Hemoperfusion can effectively treat the patients with severe digoxin intoxication.
