Abstract
A simple, rapid, accurate method is studied for assay of vanillin by Reversed Phase-High Pressure Liquid Chromatography. The chromatographic column is C18 with acetonitrile/water(85/15, V/V) as the eluting phase, and elute in isoconcentration. The detected wavelength is 279nm. The RSD is 0.46% and the recovery 98.17%~99.50%. The method is satisfactory for assaying the finished vanillin product, and also for analyzing the semifinished product .
