Abstract

Objective To summary the clinical experience of the treatment of inverted papilloma in the nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses by the intranasal endoscopic approach. Methods To analyse the clinical data of 33 patients with invert- ed papilloma in the nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses treated by endoscopic surgery and the period of follow up were 24~88 months. Results Only 4 cases had been cured within 4months,8 months,30 months and 3 years after surgery. The other else hadnt been cured in the follow up period. Conclusion The endoscopic surgery technique was proved successfully in the treatment of inverted papilloma of the nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses and has minimally invasive, potential cosmetic bene- fits, low recurrence.Enlarge excised nasal lateral wall or combined Caldwell-Luc method if the tumour had affected the max- illary anterior wall is help for reduce recurrence.
