Abstract

Objective To study the clinical and pathological features of patients with gastrointestinal mucosa associated lymphoid tissue(MALT) lymphoma. Methods 20 patients with gastrointestinal MALT lymphoma were analyzed Results It was found that the mobidity of gastrointestinal MALT lymphoma in the male was more than that in the female with a ratio of 2.3∶1.The average age was 48.2 with a range from 22 to 65.The clinical manifestations were not specific, but mainly digestive symptoms and abdominal masses. Most cases occurred in cardia and ileocaecalis, and pathologically lowgrade lymphomas were predominant. All cases were confirmed by immunohistochemistry and were entirely of B cell lymphoma. Conclusions The results suggested that much attention should be paid to the differential diagnosis of gastrointestinal MALT lymphoma. So did anti Helicobacter pylori therapy.
