Clinical analysis of gastric mucos-associated lymphoid tissue lymphoma

Objective:To study the pathologic features,clinical diagnosis and treatment of gastric mucosa associated lymphoid tissue(MALT) lymphoma.Methods:Date of six cases of gastric MALT lymphoma in our hospital during 1993～2000 were collected and their clinical manifestations pathologic materials and treatment were analyzed by gastroscopy,pathology and immunohistochemistry.Results:No remarkable characteristics were found in clinical manifestations or supplementary examination of the gastric MALT lymphoma.More cases were of low grade MALT lymphoma.By immunohistochemistry,all were confirmed to be of B cell type MALT.All the patients survived after operation and drug therapy.Conclusions:Better knowledge of gastric MALT lymphoma is helpful to ascertain diagnosis.Operation is the main treatment accompanied by drug therapy or radiotherapy.Treatment of Helicobacter pylori (Hp) should be emphasized.
