Abstract
Objective To analysis the relationship between inflammatory load index and the expression of soluble CD40L in elderly patients with acute coronary syndrome(ACS).Methods One hundred and forty-nine elderly outpatients with chest pain in our hospital were selected, all of which were examined by coronary angiography.According to clinical manifestation, the patients were divided into acute myocardial infarction group(AMI group,n=39),unstable angina pectoris group(UAP group,n=45),stable angina pectoris group(SAP group,n=30) and no coronary heart disease group(control group,n=35).Meanwhile,blood was draw in all the patients to determine the serum concentrations of CD40L and high sensitivity C-reactive protein(hsCRP).Results The serum concentrations of CD40L and hsCRP in the UAP group and the AMI group were all significantly higher than those in the SAP group and the control group. There were obvious correlation between serum CD40L and hsCRP in elderly patients with ACS(UAP and AMI)(P0.01).Conclusions The inflammatory load index and the level of soluble CD40L are significantly increased in elderly patients with ACS,and there is obvious relation between the serum concentrations of inflammatory load index and soluble CD40L.CD40L path may be an important way of transmitting the information of inflammatory load.
