Abstract

Objective To study the chemical composition of roots of Scutellaria amoena C.H.Wright.Methods Various chromatographic techniques were used to separate and purify the constituents.Their structures were determined by chemical evidences and spectral analysis. Results Eight compounds were isolated and purified, their structures were identified as dihydrooroxylin A(Ⅰ),5,7,4′ trihydroxy 8 methoxyflavone(Ⅱ),oroxylin A(Ⅲ),wogonine(Ⅳ),chrysin(Ⅴ),baicalein(Ⅵ),norwogonine(Ⅶ),(2 S ) 5,7,2′,6′ tetrahydroxyflavanone(Ⅷ).Conclusion CompoundⅠandⅡare separated from Scutellaria amoena C.H.Wright for the first time.
