Abstract

Objective To study the chemical constituents of the roots of Scutellaria viscidula. Methods Various chromatographic techniques were used to separate and purify its constituents. The structures were determined by chemical evidence and spectral analyses.Result Eight compounds were isolated and their structures were identified as oroxylin A (Ⅰ), wogonin (Ⅱ), chrysin (Ⅲ), 5,7,4′-trihydroxy-8-methoxyflavone (Ⅳ), baicalein (Ⅴ),viscidulin Ⅲ(Ⅵ), viscidulin Ⅰ(Ⅶ), and wogonoside (Ⅷ).Conclusion Compound Ⅲ and Ⅳ are isolated from Scutellaria viscidula Bge. for the first time.
