Abstract

Objective:To observe the clinical effects on senile early stage diabetic nephropathy(DN) by the prescription mainly for supplementing Qi and nourishing Yin,activating blood flow and excreting stool (SNAE).Method:50 cases of the senile DN in early stage were ramdonly divided into western medicine control group(namely control group,19 cases) and treatment group treated by method of combined Chinese and western medicine(namely treatment group,31 cases). The routine administration of hypoglycemic agents, education of diabetes and symptomatic treatment were given to patients in control group. The treatment group was added with the prescription of Chinese drugs for SNAE.Result:After 8 weeks of treatment, the urinary albumin excretion of 24 hours was markedly decreased in treatment group in comparison with that of control group(P0.01).Conclusion:The prescription mainly for SNAE had effective renal protection on the senile DN in early stage.
