Abstract

Objective To evaluate the safety and efficacy of resectoscope via holmium laser lithotripsy for the treatment of complicated bladder stone. Methods The holmium laser fiber was put into the bladder through operating hole of resectoscope to striked bladder stone, and cleared by Ellik irrigator. Results Thirty-six cases achieved stone-free at first time.Average operative time of lithotripsy was(41.9±16.2) min,and the average length of hospital stay of the patients undergoing only bladder lithotripsy was(5.8±2.1) days.Complications included henmturia(2 cases) and fever(1 case). All the cases do not appear complications of serious bleeding, bladder perforation.During the follow-up of 3~24 months after operation,no recurrence was found. Conclusion Resectoscope via holmium laser lithotripsy is a safe and effective method for the treatment of complicated bladder stone.
