Abstract
Objective:To explore effects of rehabilitation training in improving the range of motion of knee joint after fracture operation.Methods:68 patients with limitation of knee joint motion were randomly divided into the treatment group(n=35) and the control group(n=33) at the second months after operation. Two groups of patients all received physical therapy(wax therapy or fomentation therapy),joint mobilization and isotonic training of knee flexion and extension,6 times / w.Meanwhile, patients in the treatment group received isometric exercise near the maximum angle of knee flexion and extension after isotonic training. The total time spend on active training muscle daily was equal in the two groups. The knee movement scope was analyzed after 60 days training in the two groups. Results: The difference of the scope of active and passive knee joint flexion and extension had no statistical significance between the two groups before therapy(P0.05).Both the active and passive motion scope of knee flexion and extension in the two groups had been improved significantly after the rehabilitation training on knee joint motion capability(P0.05).The maximum scope of active flexion of knee joint in the treated group had been improved more significantly than that in control group. The difference of the scope of active and passive knee joint flexion and extension had statistical significance between the two groups before therapy after the rehabilitation training on knee joint motion capability(P0.05).Conclusions: Rehabilitation training can significantly improve knee function of patients with knee joint dysfunction after operation.
