Abstract
Multiprotocal label switching(MPLS)has high technical efficiency and good extendibility.Based on outstanding data forwarding capability and high reliability of asynchronous transmission mode(ATM)technology,an ATM-based MPLS data forwarding method is put forward through the research on the label switching data forwarding mechanism in link layer and route selection mechanism in network layer.Meanwhile,the design and implementation of the method are also put forward.The application result shows that the method is able to improve the efficiency and reliability of data services.
