Application of Research-based Teaching in Teaching Translation

Research-based teaching is primarily a newly-introduced notion in teaching philosophy.It refers to application of such an idea in research-based teaching and learning activities in which students are induced,supported and instructed to participate to fulfil the teaching and learning task.Though it starts as a notion it can simultaneously be utilized as a model or a teaching methodology.This paper conducts a discussion about its relations with autonomous learning,cooperative learning,and case-study teaching,illustrating the importance,feasibility and effectiveness in its applicaion,with examples in translation teaching practice.Application of this innovative idea in translation teaching are mainly conducted on the following four levels,namely,on the lexical,the syntactical,the textual and the cultural level.
