Abstract

[Objective] To assess the therapeutic effect and safety of insulin pump on type 1 diabetes mellitus.[Methods]76 patients were randomly divided into the insulin pump therapy group and the routine insulin therapy group, which received the relevant treatment for 1 week respectively. The control effect of blood glucose and incidence of hypoglycemia were observed before and after treatment.[Results]In two groups, the fasting blood glucose meals and postprandial 2 hours blood glucose after treatment was significantly lower than before treatment, and the decreases of the insulin pump therapy group was more significant than that of the routine insulin therapy group (P0.05). The incidence of hypoglycemia in the the insulin pump therapy group was lower than that in the routine insulin therapy group.[Conclusion]The therapy of insulin pump can control the hypoglycemia rapidly and effectively, and reduce the incidence of hypoglycemia.
