Abstract

Objective To investigate the expression of platelet membrane glycoprotein in patients with cerebral infarction and study clinical significance of platelet activation of cerebral infarction. Methods Flow cytometry was employed to detect CD62p expression on circulating platelet in 57 patients with cerebral infarction and 30 controls, and CSS was measured in patients with cerebral infarction. Results The positive percentage and the fluorescence intensity of CD62p on platelets were significantly increased in patients with cerebral infarction than those in controls, and were related to their clinical worsening. Conclusions The extent of platelet activation was elevated obviously during cerebral infarction. There is clinical significante to monitor the level of platelet for the prevention, treatment, and prediction of cerebral infarction.
