Abstract

Objective To explore the significance of activated platelet in whole blood in the procedure of cerebral infarction by three-color flow cytmetry. Methods The level of platelet activation in 72 patients with cerebral infarction and 15 normal controls were measured by flow cytometry three-color fluorescent labe- ling PAC-1-FITC,CE 62P-PE,CD 61-PerCP and then compare the result. Results The level of PAC-1 and CD 62P in the group of patients with cerebral infarction was 5.80±5.20%,8.07±3.85%.The level of PAC- 1 and CD 62P in the group of normal controls was 1.13±0.74%,0.23±0.15%.There was significant differ- ence about PAC-1 and CD 62P between the group of patients with cerebral infarction and normal control group (P<0.01).Conclusion This method of platelet activation determination appears to be more objective and specific and provide dependable proof to judge the nosogenesis and development of cerebral infarction and oth- er thrombosis disease.
