Abstract
Zinc nitrilotiracetate was prepared through the reaction of nitrilotiracetic acid and zinc oxide, which was employed as a stabilizer of PVC. When it was introduced into PVC together with calcium nitrilotiracetate and calcium stearate, a synergic effect was observed, which imparted PVC a long-term stability. Compared with zinc glycin and zinc stearate, zinc nitrilotiracetate achieved a better result in thermal stability.
