Clinical Observation of Montelukast Combined with Budesonide Inhalation Therapy on Children with Moderate and Severe Asthma

Abstract

Objective To explore the clinical efficacy of montelukast combined with budesonide inhalation therapy on children with moderate and severe asthma. Methods 100 children with bronchial asthma was selected and divided into observation group and control group. inhaled budesonide was given to control group. budesonide inhalation combined with montelukast was used to observation group. pulmonary function and IgE changes in two groups were observed before and after treatment. Results The total effective rate in the observation group was 96%; The total effective rate in the control group was 80%.the total effective rate in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P0.05). FEV1, PEF in the observation group after treatment compared with those in the control group respectively ,the difference was statistically significant (P0.05); IgE level in the treatment group was lower than that in the control group after treatment,the difference was statistically significant(P0.05). Conclusion Montelukast Combined with budesonide inhalation on moderate and severe asthma in children has significantly clinical efficacy,and that is worth to draw lessons from.
