Abstract
Objective:To study the expression of inhibitor of differentiation/DNA binding-1(Id-1) in human ovarian cancer and its relation to clinicopathological characteristics.Methods:To determine the expression of Id-1 in 50 cases of ovarian cancer with immunohistochemical method and analyze its relationship with the clinicopathological characteristics.Results:The expression rates of Id-1 in ovarian cancer,borderline ovarian tumor and normal ovarian tissue were 80.4%,30% and 5%,respectively.There was a statistical significance(P0.01) between groups.The expression of Id-1 in ovarian cancer was correlated with grade of differentiation and lymph node metastasis(P0.05),but not correlated with age or clinic stages(P0.05).Conclusion:The expression of Id-1 in ovarian cancer is high,which is correlated with the degree of histologic differentiation of ovarian cancer and lymph node metastasis and plays an important role in the pathogenesis and development of ovarian cancer.
