Abstract

Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy and safety of 1% bifonazole cream and triamcinolone acetonide and econazole cream in the treatment of candidal balanoposthitis. Methods Ninety-five patients were randomly divided into two groups.Forty-eight patients in the treatment group were treated with 1% bifonazole cream on base of triamcinolone acetonide and econazole cream for two weeks.Forty-seven patients in the control group were only treated with 1% bifonazole cream. The clinical efficacy was analyzed according to clinical symptoms, signs and clearance rate of candida. Results Therapeutic effect of the treatment group was superior than control group, significant difference were found between the two groups (P0.05).While there was no significant difference in clearance rate of candida between the two groups. Conclusion Therapeutic eff -ect of 1% bifonazole cream and triamcinolone acetonide and econazole cream on candidal balanoposthitis is better than single use of 1% Bifonazole Cream.
