Clinical observation on 32 cases of lung cancer with radiotherapy radiation pneumonia treated by combination of traditional Chinese and western medicine

Objective To study the therapeutic effect of combination of the traditional Chinese and western medicine in treatment of lung cancer with radiotherapy radiation pneumonia and effects on pulmonary function indexes.Methods Sixty two patients who were diagnosed with radiotherapy radiation pneumonia,were randomly divided into two groups,thirty two cases in treatment group,who were administered hormone and antibiotics,combined with oxygen,cough relieving,antispasmodic, symptomatic treatment,while were treated with Qingfei lily decoction.Thirty cases in control group,in addition to accept Qingfei lily Decoction,other therapy were same as treatment group.To observe the clinical efficacy and changes of clinical symptom score,improvement of quality of life,pulmonary function,blood gas analysis,peripheral hemogram in 2 groups before and after treatment.Results After the treatment,the total therapeutic effects and the effective rate of KPS in the treatment group was better than the control group(P 0.05);symptoms score in both group decreased after the treatment,comparing with the same group before the treatment,with the difference was statistical significance(P 0.01 );the treatment group was superior to those of the control group(P 0.05);After treatment,pulmonary function,blood gas analysis,blood indexes were improved,but the treatment group improved obviously(P 0.05).Conclusion Compared with the single western medicine treatment,Qingfei lily decoction combined with western medicine in treatment of radiation pneumonia can strengthen the function of controlling infection and inflammatory reaction,improve the pulmonary function and blood gas status, the symptoms,and quality of life of patients with radiation pneumonia,control of the disease.
