A Reflection upon the Translation Equivalence

The establishment of any academic discipline requires the systematic theory and theoretical criteria of its own. The same is true of the translation studies. Amid the different translation theories stands out the translation equivalence that is debatable but animated. It is worthwhile to notice that, while full equivalence is not in existence because of the gaps of different languages, translation equivalence has greater advantages over other translation criteria in information quantification. Nevertheless. the translation equivalence is and will still be the core of translation theory.
