Abstract

Urumqi is endowed with opportunities in West Exploration campaign, but current city space restrains the promotion of the functions and development of the city. This paper discusses the possible expansion model from the angle of regional resources integration. Attempting to solve the discrepancy between planning orientation and policy orientation because of the administrative division, it brings forward the development strategy of Urumqi Changji metropolitan area to realize the development of both Urumqi and the whole region.
