Abstract
Objective: To study the expression and significance of cyclinD1, P16 proteins in cervical carcinoma and cervical intraepithelial neoplasia. Methods: The protein of cyclinDl and P16 in 20 normal cervical tissue, 20 cervical intraepithelial neoplasia, 54 cervical carcinoma were tested with immunohistochemical technique (straptavidin biotin peroxidase SP). Results:(1) There was significant difference in the express of cyclinD1 proteins between normal cervical tissue and cervical carcinoma (P 0. 05). There was significant difference in the express of cyclinDl proteins between normal cervical tissue and cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (P 0. 05). No Significant difference was found in the express of cyclinD1 proteins between cervical intraepithelial neoplasia and cervical carcinoma (P 0. 05). (2) CyclinDl protein was associated with clinical stage (P 0. 05). (3) There was not significant difference in the express of P16 proteins between three groups. Conclusion:(1) cyclinDl proteins expression may play an important role in the cervical carcinoma and cervical intraepithelial neoplasia. (2) Expression of cyclinDl protein in cervical carcinoma was associated with clinical stage. (3) Inactivation of P16 may play role in the initiation of cervical carcinoma partly.
