Abstract
Objective: To study the expressios and significance of cyclinD1.CDK4 protein and P16 protein in squamous carcinoma of the cervix and cervical intraepithelial neoplasia. Methods:The cyclinD1.CdK4 protein and P16 protein in 26 cases of normal cervical tissue,26 cases of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia,60 cases of cervival carcinoma were tested by immunohistochemical technique(straptavidin biotin peroxidase SP).Results:(1)There was significant difference in the expression of CyclinD1.CDK4 protein between normal cervical tissue and squamous carcinoma of the cervix(P0.05).There was significant difference in the expression of CyclinD1.CDK4 protein between normal cervical tissue and cervical intraepithelialneoplasia(P0.05).No Significant difference was found in the expression of cyclinD1.CDK4 protein between cervical intraepithelial neoplasia and cervival carcinoma(P0.05).(2)CyclinD1.CDK4 protein was associated with clinical stage(P0.05).(3)There was no significant difference in the expression of P16 proteins between three groups.Conclusion:(1)CyclinD1.CDK4 protein expression may play an important role in cervical carcinoma and cervical intraepithelial neoplasia.(2)Expression of CyclinD1.CDK4 protein in squamous carcinoma of the cervix was associated with clinical stage.(3)Inactivation of P16 may play a role in the occurrence of some cervical carcinomas.
