Abstract
To take advantage of high-fidelity, fast generation capability of CATIA software in generating curved surfaces, an auto-generation program of splines was developed based on macro command. The coordinates of discrete points are read in and then converted to CATScript. Then the macro script is read by CATIA in thegenerative shape designmodule, and the spline is generated. To employ this tool to deal with the guide curves of surface from massive data can increase the work efficiency and greatly decrease the data error.
