Using VBA to Design Curved Surface Based on CATIA Software

Abstract

A method used to design Curved surface by means of program is introduced in this paper.The program is developed by VBA on the base of CATIA software.For a baffle with complex profile,the control points of section are calculated by a mathematical function.The splines of former sections are created automatically in the Generative Shape Design of CATIA using VBA program which read direct a series of coordinates of control points,finally,Curved surface shape is generated by Loft command of CATIA.
