Abstract
Objective: To sum up the experiences in spontaneous pneumothorax by video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery and improve the level of clinical nutrition and treatment. Methods: The clinical data of 25 patients with spontaneous pneumothorax three years recently were analyzed retrospectively. Results: 18 cases were operated by video- assisted thoracoscopic surgery and 7 cases were operated by video-assisted mini thoracotomy. The average time in operation was 149 minutes. The average time in drainage was 7.2 days. The average time after operation was 12 days. All cases were successful. Conclusion: The mininal injury surgery treatment of spontaneous pneunothorax by video-assisted thoracic surgery is safe and shortened therapy duration, less postoperative pain and therapv expense.
