Status and Development Trend of Agricultural Water Saving Irrigation

There is conspicuous contradiction between water shortage and seious water resource pollution and waste in Chinese rural area.The water use efficiency is only 30%-40%,the water saving irrigation equipment has very big disparity,and the management system needs further perfect.The idea should be renewed,and the research field should be extended around the development of modern agriculture.The measures should be taken including strengthening the dynamics of engineering facilities construction,the research and development of irrigation and water measure equipments,the researches on water requirement rules and irrigation systems of crops,and the basic research on the application of farmland water conservancy to sovle the problems of water resource shortage and ensure the sustainable development of agriculture and water conservancy.
