Abstract
Objective To explore the indications of operation and curative effects of autologous fat transplantation in myringoplasty. Methods 43 cases of tympani membrane perforated that had been treated by autologous fat transplantation under otic endoscope from 2002-2006,including 10 cases of large perforation of tympanic membrane and 33cases of small ones, were retrospectively analyzed after operation. Results After a 6-12 months' postoperative follow-up,the effect of treatment of small and middle perforation was discovered significantly. Conclusion Autologous fat transplantation in myringoplasty is an ideal operation way applicable to middle and small perforation of tympanic membrane.
