Abstract
Objective To explore the clinical efficacy of otic endoscopic myringoplasty with autogenous abdominal fat for repair of central perforation of tympanic nembrane. Methods The clinical data on 64 patients (68 ears) who had undergone myringoplasty with autogenous adipose tissue were retrospectively analyzed. All the patients were followed up for 3 to 6 months.Six months after surgery, detection of pure tone was re-performed to assess the efficacy. Results Tympanic membrane was entirely healed in 63 ears and partially healed in 4 ears which were completely healed after repaired by fresh egg films; one ear was not healed, with a primary cure rate of 92.6%.Conclusions Otic endoscopy has a clear visual field and is simple and easier to use.Otic endoscopic myringoplasty with autogenous abdominal fat for repair of central perforation of tympanic membrane is efficacious and worth popularizing in basic-level hospitals. Key words: Otic endoscopy; Perforation of tympanic membrane; Abdominal fat; Myringoplasty
