Abstract

In perspective of stylistics,Liu Xie’s article ofBian Sao(辨骚) in The Literary Mind and Carving ofDragons (文心雕龙) has special significance.It listed Saoas a literary style for the first time.Xiao Tong’s liter ary outlook is remarkably in fluenced by Liu Xie.In his Zhaoming Wenxuan (昭明文选),articles were arranged in order of style.Saoworks was independently arranged in the third place afterFuand poem.Due to Liu Xie’s idea of learning from the classics,theoretical contradictions exists inBian Sao (辨骚).The function of Chu culture and culture of Warring States is insufficiently discussed.
