A Literature Review of the Theories of the Chinese Children Literature since 1978

Since the reform and opening-up practices 30 years ago,radical changes have appeared in the theories of Chinese children literature.The children-oriented idea has greatly promoted the creation,edition and publication of children literature as well as readings for children.Comparatively,theories of children literature in China are far from maturity.Theoretical studies of children literature are subjective to the social,cultural and ideological context today and they are also an integral part of the contemporary cultural and ideological construction.Criticism within the framework of literary discourse is actually an effective approach,ensuring that children literature is independent though involved in literary discourse,so that it will remain as a dynamic but comparatively stable system.
