Abstract
This paper,from the perspective of translated children's literature in China chiefly during the last three decades,reviews the development of Chinese children's literature,particularly the hardships and obstacles it has undergone and overcome since 1949,arguing that it is a necessary and inevitable outcome that Chinese children's literature has joined the world in this respect by means of consciously sharing the universal values in the latter.This paper is dedicated to the commemoration of China's 30th anniversary of reform and opening to the outside world.
