Abstract

Objective: To discover the molecular changes and mechanism in gastric cancer invasion and metastasis process E-CD protein expression level. Methods: 41 gastric cancer samples and matched normal gastric mucosa were detected by immunohistochemistry. Results: The positive rate of E-CD expression in gastric cancer was significantly lower than that in normal gastric mucosa, which is correlated with the gastric cancer type, differentiation level, invasion depth, lymphonode metastasis status and TNM stage. Conclusion: E-CD protein expression level is a good parameter for predicting invasion, metastasis and prognosis of gastric cancer.
