Expression and Clinical Significance of D2-40 and nm23 Gene Protein in Gastric Carcinoma

Abstract
Objective To study the relationship between the expression of D2-40 and nm23 gene protein and development and lymphangiogenesis in primary gastric carcinoma. Methods The expression of D2-40 and nm23 were examined by immunohistochemical SP technique in 63 gastric cancer.Results The nm23 positive expression was lower in stage Ⅲ~ Ⅳ of gastric cancer and gastric cancer with lymph node metastasis than that in normal gastric mucosa(P0.05),and the tendency to invasion and metastasis of gastric cancer was negatively correlated with the expression of nm23(P0.05).The D2-40 expression in gastric cancer was significantly higher than that in normal gastric mucosa.The D2-40 expression in stage Ⅲ~Ⅳ was significantly higher than stageⅠof gastric cancer(P0.05),and with lymph node metastasis group was significantly higher than those without metastasis(P0.05),The tendency to invasion and metastasis of gastric cancer was positively correlated with the expression of D2-40.There was negative correlation between the expression of D2-40 and the expression of nm23 in gastric cancer(P0 01).Conclusion nm23 and D2-40 expression play an important role in lymph node metastasis of gastric cancer.
