Abstract
Objective To compare the analgesia effect with two anesthesia method in glaucoma patients defect of visual field. Methods One hundred and twenty-two eyes of 84 patients with defect of visual field were randomly divided into 2 groups. 53 eyes were operated with topical anesthesia and 69 eyes with topical anesthesia combined with subconjunctival anesthesia. Complication and reaction of anesthesia were observed. Results The rate of excellence is higher in topical anesthesia combined with subconjuctival anesthesia group than in topical anesthesia, showed ignificant difference (χ2=4.635,P=0.0310.05). And no severe complications were observed in all cases. Conclusions Trabeculectomy applying topical anesthesia combined with subconjuctival anesthesia is safer and reliable to patient with defect of visual field.
