Abstract

Objective:To explore the clinical efficacy of ambroxol hydrochloride combined with aminophylline in treatment of children with bronchial asthma.Methods:85 children with bronchial asthma in the hospital from January to August in 2010 were divided into treatment group and control group randomly.43 children in control group were treated with conventional treatments including oxygen inhalation,antibiotics,relieving cough and reducing sputum,corticosteroids,maintenance of water and electrolyte and acid-base balance,then intravenous injection of aminophylline(4 mg per kilogram per day) was given twice a day.42 children in treatment group were treated with intravenous injection of ambroxol hydrochloride(1.5 mg per kilogram per day) twice a day on the basis of therapeutic schedule of control group.The courses of the treatment in the two groups were all 4 weeks;the improvements of clinical symptoms,signs and pulmonary function in the two groups were observed.Results:The total effective rates in treatment group and control group were 90.48% and 72.09%,respectively,there was significant difference between the two groups(P0.05).The disappearance times of clinical symptoms and signs in treatment group were earlier than those in control group(P0.05).In the two groups,FEV1,PEF and FVC after treatment were higher than those before treatment,but the improvements in treatment group were superior to those in control group,there was significant difference.Conclusion:The clinical efficacy of ambroxol hydrochloride combined with aminophylline is significant in treatment of children with bronchial asthma,which can relieve the symptoms and signs of children quickly.
