The Application of Porcelain Crown Combining Fiber Root in Restoration and Preservation to the Residual Crown and Root of Anterior Teeth

Objective To investigate the clinical effect of the application of the cast porcelain crowns combining with fiber root canal posts in the restoration and preservation to the residual roots and crowns of anterior teeth.Methods 95 patients with anterior teeth of residual roots and crowns which caused by dental caries and surgical trauma were randomly divided into two groups,30 patients in every group.The test group with 49 defect teeth,used porcelain crowns cooperating with fiber root canal posts in restoration;the control group with 46 defect teeth used metal-porcelain crown combining with the cast metal posts in restoration.Follow up 1 year after reparation,for the restoration of retention,integrity shape,color matching,gums,and the edge of adaptation to carry out comprehensive evaluation of the indicators.Results 1 year after the restoration,the test group has 47 successful restoration,the achievement ratio is 95.9%.The control group has 33 restoration,the achievement ratio is 71.7%.The difference of achievement ratio between two groups is statistically significant(χ2=25.71,P0.01).Conclusion The application of the cast porcelain crowns cooperating with fiber root canal posts in the restoration and preservation of the residual roots and crowns of anterior teeth has good effect and has high value to application
