Abstract
Objective: To investigate the effect of health education on children with diabetes to reduce acute and chronic complications.Methods: 64 children with diabetes about 6 to 14 years were divided into experimental and control groups,32 cases were in each group,control group received routine health education,experimental group received health education in forms of group,individual,blackboard newspaper,parent classes,symposium and other forms by full-time primary nurse.And the effect of health education for the two groups was compared.Results: Children and parents of experimental group have higher knowledge level about diabetes(P0.05).Conclusions: Targeted health education can help to children and his families learn more knowledge about diabetes,improve self-management capabilities,reduce acute and chronic complications of diabetes.
