The Effect of Huanglianwendan Decoction on NF-κB and TNF-α of Metabolic Syndrome Rats

Abstract

Objective:To explore the effective and mechanism of the treatment of HuangLianWenDan decoction for MS by detecting the lever of NF-κB and TNF-α in serum of MS rats.Methods:The 8-week-old male SD rats were fed with high salt,high lipid and high glucose diet to build model of MS and the successful model rats were randomly divided into 4 groups: the model group,metformin group,huanglianwendan decoction high dose group,and low dose group.After gavaging the corresponding drug to rats 4 weeks,detect the weight,blood pressure,blood glucose,serum insulin,blo-od lipids,TNF-α and calculate the lee's index,HOMA-IR,and measure the expression of NF-κB.Results: Compared with normal group,the weight,fast blood glucose,blood lipids of model group rats were significantly different(P0.05).Contrasting to model group,the weight,blood lipid,lee's index,HOMA-IR,TNF-α of MS rats in high dose group had significantly difference(P0.05) group.And the expression of NF-κB in three groups had significantly difference(P0.05).Conclusions: HuanglianWendan Decoction has treatment on each aspart of MS rats.It can reduce the serum TNF-α concentration and improve aortic NF-κB expression.The mechisim of the process may be related with NF-κB molecular pathways.
