Abstract
The paper presents a design method of image scaling engine based a novel adaptive edge-based interpolation algorithm.First,the basic theory of adaptive interpolation algorithm is introduced.Then,on the basis of this theory,a new design method for scaling engine is presented.Meanwhile,the data buffer unit and effective coefficients generating and interpolation unit are specially introduced.Finally,the FPGA experimental results show that our proposed algorithm achieves vivid edges of target images,improve the quality of the scaled image with low complexity.So it suitable for real-time image resizing.
