Abstract

Objective To investigate and evaluate the effect of systematic treatment for diabetic foot ulcers in patients with diabetes.Methods The experience of the systematic treatmenting diabetic foot ulceration in 52 patients with diabetes from May 1998 to October 2002 was analyzed retrospectively.Results With the systematic treatment,47 patients were recovered(the curative rate was 90.4%),2 patients were amputated(the amputated rate is 3.8%),1 patient was died(the mortality rate is 1.9%).Conclusion The systematic treatment including three stages and two means is an effective treatment for diabetic foot ulceration.
