Abstract

Objective: To observe the changes of serum of tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)and soluble intercellular adhesion molecule-1(sICAM-1) in patients with cerebral ischemia and their clinical significance. Methods: Serum level of sICAM-1 and TNF-α in patients with cerebral ischemia (include acute phase and convalescence:2 weeks after treatment ) and in healthy people were measured by ELISA. Then the levels of two groups were contrasted. Results: Serum level of sICAM-1 and TNF-α in patients with cerebral ischemia in acute phase was remarkly higher than that in healthy group ( P 0.01),and after treatment, the level of sICAM-1 and TNF-α was remarkly higher than that before treatment( P 0.01). Although they also higher than healthy group( P 0.05). Conclusion: Serum sICAM-1 and TNF-α may be related to the development of cerebral ischemia. So measurement of them is helpful to clinical analysize.
