Abstract
Objective:To investigate the changes and the clinical significance of pregnancy associated plasma protein-A(PAPP-A),insulin growth factor-Ⅰ(IGF-Ⅰ)and C-reactive protein(hs-CRP) in patients with acute coronary syndrome(ACS) .Methods:Total of 112 patients with coronary artery disease(CAD) who was documented by angiography were got in this study,in which,73 cases with ACS(ACS group),39 cases with stable angina(SAP group). The 20 normal persons were composed the control group. All the patients' plasma was analyzed for PAPP-A and IGF-Ⅰwith enzyme linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA),and hs-CRP with supersensitive immunoassay respectively.Results:① PAPP-A,IGF-Ⅰand hs-CRP levels were higher in ACS group compared with normal control group(P0.01)and SAP group(P0.01 or 0.05);② PAPP-A,IGF-Ⅰand hs-CRP levels were not significantly changes in SAP group compared with normal control group(P0.05);③ PAPP-A level was positively correlated with free IGF-Ⅰ(r=0.68,P0.001) in ACS group, but no correlation with total IGF-Ⅰ,CK-MB and cTnT in ACS group(P0.05);④PAPP-A level was positively correlated with hs-CRP in ACS group(r=0.63,P0.01).Conclusion:PAPP-A,IGF-Ⅰand hs-CRP levels are elevated in ACS patients and associated with instable plaque,so PAPP-A can be used as a new candidate marker for the diagnosis of ACS patients.
