Abstract
A solid-liquid binary preparation of chlorine dioxide was prepared by activation with citric acid.In order to study its germicidal efficacy and disinfection property, carrier quantitative germicidal test was used to carry out experimental observation. Results: The killing rate of Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus on carriers exposed to the disinfectant solutions containing chlorine dioxide 400 mg/L and 500 mg/L respectively for 10 min was 100% in every test. The killing rate of spores of Bacillus subtilis var.niger and Candida albicans exposed to the disinfectant containing chlorine dioxide 1000 mg/L for 20 min and 10 min respectively attained 100% in every test.Presence of organic substance influenced slightly the efficacy of the disinfectant in killing spores of Bacillus subtilis var.niger.After the chlorine dioxide disinfectant in airtight packing was stored in 54℃ thermostat for 14 days, its chlorine dioxide content decreased by 0.88% in average. Conclusion: The chlorine dioxide disinfectant has potent germicidal efficacy and is stable.
