Abstract
To investigate the scheme and the implementation of picture archiving and communication system(PACS).To establish the PACS. Methods: According to the condition of the imaging equipments and clinical requirement, we set up a PACS based on the local networek. It was composed of three sampling workstation and three. standard workstations. All system with or without DICOM were integrated into the PACS to store the whole imges and share those resources. Results:The PACS had the functions of capture, transmission, storage, output, analysis and diagnosis. It realized management of no-filmmode. Conclusion:The PACS has features of practicality, economy, security, extendibility, and so on. It can meet the requirement of clinical work. It lays solid foundation for setting up PACS.
