Abstract
Objective To investigate the scheme and the implementation of Mini picture archiving and communication system(Mini PACS). To establish the MiniPACS.Methods According to the condition of the magnetic resonance imaging equipments and clinical requirement, we set up a MiniPACS based on the local network. It was composed of one sampling workstation and three standard workstations. All MRI system with or without DICOM were integrated into the MiniPACS to store the whole images and share those resources. Results The MiniPACS had the functions of capture, transmission, storage, output, analysis and diagnosis. It realized management of no-film mode.Conclusion The MiniPACS has features of practicality, economy, security, extendibility, and so on. It can meet the requirement of clinical work. It lays solid foundation for setting up PACS.
