ANALYSIS OF HBV INFECTION OF FRESHMEN IN ONE MEDICAL COLLEGE IN SICHUAN

Abstract

[Objective]To know the situation of HBV infection among college freshmen in order to take effective measures for its control and prevention.[Methods]1 527 freshmen were tested by ELISA for HBV,including HBsAg,HBsAb,HbeAg,HBcAb,and PCR was adoped as well for HBV-DNA.[Results]55 students were detected as HBsAg positive,and the positive rate was 3.67%.There were 21 students being HBsAg,HBeAg and HBcAb positive,18 cases being HBsAg,HBeAb and HBcAb positive,with 11 students being HBV-DNA positive.[Conclusion]A large number of college freshmen are at the risk of being infected,therefore,vaccination to HBV and the awareness of the disease are of great significance in the prevention of the wide spread of HBV infection.
