The study on the effect of TongMaiLuo capsule on blood rheological properties of rat's blood stasis model

Objective To investigate the effect of TongMaiLuo capsule on prevention of the formation of blood stasis i.e. activating blood circulation to dissipate blood stasis by subcutaneous injection of a larger dose of Adrenaline(Adr) into rats to prepare a blood stasis model.Methods The rats were divided into five groups:the higher and lower dose groups of TongMaiLuo capsule,the Salvia miltiorrhiza tablet control,the blood stasis model control and the blank control.Results The blood stasis model control group showed that each index of the blood rheological properties such as stickiness,thickness and condensation,obviously increased,having very significant statistical difference(P0.01),compared with the blank control group,indicating the reliability of experiment model.After the higher and lower dose groups of TongMaiLuo capsule are compared with the blood stasis control,the former showed a very significant difference(P0.01) and the latter,a significant difference(P0.05).But in comparison with the Salvia miltiorrhiza tablet control group both the higher and lower dose groups of TongMaiLuo capsule had no significant difference(P0.05).Conclusion TongMaiLuo capsule can obviously reduce all the indexes in the rats' blood stasis model,prevent the formation of blood stasis,i.e. having a strong effect of activating blood circulation to dissipate blood stasis and its effect of anti blood stasis relies on its dosage.
